TVCDTM — Fiber Model

What it is:

TVCD's Fiber Model is a financial tool imbedded within the software and is specific by species and supplier. It measures the value of chip quality improvement, or the cost of status quo. Gains and losses are measured in real time and displayed in any format the customer chooses (day, week, month, or year). The TVCD Fiber Model provides Pulp Mill and Forest Resource Managers with the critical and timely financial information they need to make informed chip purchasing decisions.

What it Does:

The model measures the impact of adjusting the chip profile (in mm) against an established baseline. Using proprietary algorithms - user-friendly graphs and tables are produced. Through analysis of baseline, current and target chip quality TVCD is able to determine the potential and actual savings from the optimization of chip quality. The program is completely customizable so managers can see the same data at the same time in the same format. The level of detail is set-up by the customer.

Benefits:

3-5% minimum improvement in overall chip quality;

Real time reporting in $ so you can account for savings in less wood purchased or more pulp produced for the same ton of chips;

Annual real dollar savings that can be measured;

Process control over the Wood Room and Purchased Chip Suppliers;

Control over what is purchased;

Significant Annual savings;

ROI of greater than 20:1.
